Wonderful Rio de Janeiro

Upon your arrival in Rio de Janeiro, our representative will be waiting to meet and greet you at the airport.

You will be transferred to your hotel and will be able to rest from your trip or enjoy the free day at leisure.

After breakfast you will be taken at the hotel for a tour in Downtown Rio, the cultural and financial heart of the city, home to many museums. Modern and traditional buildings give this part of the city, so full of history, a particular charm. 

You will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of São Sebastião. Designed by the great Oscar Niemeyer, it has an original architecture. 

Next, visit to Lapa and its famous arches followed by the colourful Selaron stairs, which lead to the artistic neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. 

After breakfast it is time to visit some of the most famous attractions of the Wonderful City. We will start by the Corcovado, where is located the statue of Christ the Redeemer, one of the seven wonders of the modern world, who blesses the city with open arms. 

Next, we will visit the Sugar Loaf Mountain, two hills connected by cable cars. You will enjoy more breath taking views and then are free to spend the rest of the day as you like. 

After breakfast you will take a shared drive to Paraty, a historic city located on western of the state (5h drive from Rio City). On the way you will see more wonderful views of Atlantic forest in one side and the blue ocean on the other.

Transfer to your hotel in Paraty.

On this day you will relax on the beaches of Trindade, 25Km south of Paraty. Trindade offers a fantastic coastline of white sands and trails of dense jungle. It is a place to relax and enjoy the nature. Take the opportunity to also enjoy some natural swimming pools close to the Cachadaço beach.

For the next 2 days you will enjoy Ilha Grande (Big Island). We will travel to Angra dos Reis and take the ferry to Ilha Grande, which is the largest of the forested islands in the region. Most of the island is an ecological reserve and you will be able to enjoy the wildlife. 

Spend the day to explore and enjoy the fantastic beaches, such as Lopez Mendez. 

Explore Vila do Abraão (Abraham’s village), the only town on the island. From there you can take a boat to Mangues Beach. 

Another option is to hike from Vila do Abraão. In a 4h hike you cross the jungle and reach Pouso, Palmas and Mangues beaches. 

Enjoy another day at leisure in Ilha Grande. You can take an optional day trip and snorkel at the blue and green lagoons. 

You will return to Rio de Janeiro. 

Enjoy the rest of the day as you would like. 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to take the flight back home or to your next destination. End of the tour.*
