When is the best time to visit Kenya?

The great thing about Kenya is that it truly is a year-round destination. It is safe to say, however, the main tourist seasons would be in the months of January & February as the more warner climate makes for a great vacation. Alongside the weather, this is the period when Kenya’s wildlife is most active and amazing birds flocking in the air. The rainy season of Kenya would be from March to May and this period is usually calmer & less busy.

What’s the weather like in Kenya?

The climate in Kenya is tropical, meaning the coast is hot and humid with temperatures inland and to the north being drier. The average tempers in Nairobi are between 77 max and 56 minimum.  Generally speaking, it’s sunny all year round & summer clothes are the go-to attire throughout the year, it might get more chilly through the night so packing some clothes for the night is not a bad idea.

Do i need a visa to enter Kenya?

The answer is yes, Kenya and the other countries of the region as a general rule, but according to your nationality that might not be the case. Aside of a passport valid for 6 months with two blank pages, you can either get the visa through the countries embassy in your homeland or upon arrival in Kenya, which might not be available in the future. Since these requirements are subject to change at any given time, check if there are any updates with your embassy before travelling.
